 Abstract:  The Cleveland Bar Association is an organization (f. 1873) of Cleveland, Ohio, lawyers whose purpose is to maintain the honor and dignity of the law profession and promote legal and judicial reform. Operating via a series of committees, the association over the years has investigated misconduct by lawyers, judges, sheriffs, and police, which has resulted in resignations and/or disbarment. The collection consists of individual and group portraits of members. Also includes the following subjects: Court Management Study Committee; Law in Urban Affairs, East High School; Call for Action (1975); Justice Center, Mayor's Court (1972); Securities Law Institute (1972); Trial Advocacy Institute (1972); Your Day in Court Project (1977); and the Law Office Economics Committee (1973-1975).

 Abstract:  Peter Henry Kaiser (1840-1929) was a Cleveland, Ohio, lawyer who grew up in the Dutch Valley area of Tuscarawas County, Ohio. He was an amateur historian and wrote numerous short stories about his childhood home in Tuscarawas County. His second wife, Beza (Boynton) Kaiser, also wrote stories about the early history of Tuscarawas County. Their children were Ella Kaiser Carruth and John Boynton Kaiser. The collection consists of individual and group portraits of Kaiser and others, including the first grade class at Outhwaite School (1887), Kaiser in his law office in Cleveland, Ohio (ca. 1900), and the dedication of a monument (1927).

 Abstract:  Manuel Levine (1881-1939) was a Russian Jew who immigrated to Cleveland, Ohio, in 1897 and became a lawyer and judge, rising to the position of Chief Justice of the Court of Appeals of Ohio. Levine was also interested in the preparation of the immigrant for citizenship and was president of the Cleveland Immigration League. The collection consists of individual and group portraits including Manuel Levine, family members, and colleagues.

Included are photographs used in the Solanics vs. Republic Steel court case, views of locations of strike activities in Cleveland and Youngstown during the Little Steel strike of 1937, and photographs of women on the picket line.

 Abstract:  Members of the Ford family were prominent lawyers, philanthropists, and businessmen of Cleveland, Ohio, during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The collection consists of individual and group portraits of Ford and allied families, including the Brooks, Gill, Reynolds, and Shyrock families. Individuals pictured include Oliver Kingsley Brooks, Horatio Clark Ford, David K. Ford, Elizabeth Kingsley Brooks Ford, and other family members and associates. Also included are photographs of Frederick Goff, Charles Lindbergh, and Richard Nixon. Views contained in the collection include buildings, churches, and residences associated with the family, such as the Cuyahoga and Williamson Buildings and the New Amsterdam Hotel in Cleveland, and Schauffler Hall at Defiance College. Other views include events, monuments, ships, statuary, and trips. Of special interest is a photograph taken ca. 1900 at the completion of the Cleveland and Eastern Traction Company's line through to Chardon, Ohio.
